Miley Cyrus confirmed that she has been working on her next studio album.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, the pop star dished out on what fans can expect on her upcoming record with the working title Something Beautiful.

"It was inspired by Pink Floyd’s The Wall," she shared.  "My idea was making The Wall, but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture."

Miley relayed that her ninth studio album is a "concept album that’s an attempt to medicate somewhat of a sick culture through music," describing it as "hypnotizing and glamorous."

The "Flowers" singer remarked that she aspires to produce an album that can heal through music.

"It was important for me that every song has these healing sound properties. The songs, whether they’re about destruction or heartbreak or death, they’re presented in a way that is beautiful, because the nastiest times of our life do have a point of beauty," she remarked.

She added: "They are the shadow, they are the charcoal, they are the shading. You can’t have a painting without highlights and contrast."

Miley previously released an album in 2023 with Endless Summer Vacation. The record produced the hit track "Flowers" which landed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for eight weeks. It also produced the singles "River" and "Jaded."

The album received nominations for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, while "Flowers" won Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.

Meanwhile, back in August, Miley was honored as the youngest Disney Legend ever.

In an emotional speech, Miley remarked that she has always took pride as Hannah Montana.

"I stand here still proud to have been Hannah Montana. This award is dedicated to Hannah and all of her amazing, loyal fans, and to everyone who has made my dream a reality. To quote the legend herself, ‘This is the life,'” she remarked.
