<p>On this day in 2019, ABS-CBN released its summer station ID “Summer Is Love,” a vibrant celebration of love and happiness featuring over 200 Kapamilya stars.</p><p>The station ID was performed by <a href="http://idolphilippines.abs-cbn.com"><em><strong><u>Idol Philippines</u></strong></em></a><em><strong><u></u></strong> </em>judges<em></em> Vice Ganda, Regine Velasquez, James Reid, and Moira Dela Torre, and host Billy Crawford. Here’s a look back at some of the most iconic ones:</p><div> </div><div><br/></div><div><strong>One Team, One Summer (2008)</strong></div><p>Featuring UP PEP Squad, ABS-CBN launched its summer station ID in 2008 based on the ASAP Supah Dance song “Boomtiyaya Boom.” The video featured stars such as Vhong Navarro, Sam Milby, Piolo Pascual, Gary Valenciano, Diether Ocampo Jericho Rosales as well as Kristine Hermosa, Judy Ann Santos, Anne Curtis, Roxanne Guinoo, among others.<strong></strong></p><div><br/></div><div><iframe width="913" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/nLX2A5JSrXo?list=RDnLX2A5JSrXo" title="ABS-CBN Summer Station ID 2008 &quot;One Team. It is an original song written and composed by the ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management team. The video is inspired by the colors and images of the art technique called a collage. All of their campaigns and summer activities form different images that later become part of one final canvas that paints a better world for the Filipino. The music video also highlighted the network&#x27;s history as it was performed by Sam Milby and Angeline Quinto.</p><div><br/></div><div><iframe width="913" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/c3-HKrvpL68" title="ABS-CBN Summer Station ID 2013 &quot;Kwento ng Summer Natin&quot;" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><br/></div><div><strong>Pinasmile (2014)</strong></div><p>Performed by then ABS-CBN’s biggest loveteam, Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo, collectively known as KathNiel, “Pinasmile” highlighted the resilience of Filipinos in the face of hardships, showing how people continue to find reasons to smile despite life’s challenges.</p><p>According to ABS-CBN, the campaign aimed to promote the Philippines as a unique travel destination, celebrating the beauty of its regions, rich culture, and, most of all, the genuine smiles of its people, who, even after devastating calamities, maintain a hopeful and joyful spirit.</p><div><br/></div><div><iframe width="913" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/QN02cXYDDBk" title="ABS-CBN Summer Station ID 2014 &quot;PINASmile&quot;" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><strong> </strong></div><div><strong>Shine, Pilipinas! (2015)</strong></div><p>With the theme of how Filipino expressed love, this 2015 summer station ID was performed by then ABS-CBN’s loveteam LizQuen, Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano. As per the video description, “Shine Pilipinas” serves as “a battle cry that urges Filipinos to keep the fire burning and a summer anthem that empowers to move to the beat of positivity.”</p><div><span style="margin:0px;padding:0px">The video featured the cast of <em>Home Sweetie Home, Forevermore, Bridges of Love,</em> as well as Kris Aquino&#x27;s adventure with son Bimby Aquino Yap and Piolo Pascual, who went scuba diving in Batangas.</span><strong></strong></div><div><br/></div><div><iframe width="913" height="543" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/2wLU5lP0rP0" title="ABS-CBN Summer Station ID 2015 &quot;Shine Pilipinas!&quot;" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen=""></iframe></div><div><strong> </strong></div><div><strong>Ipanalo Ang Pamilyang Pilipino (2016)</strong></div><p>Timed with the national elections, this station ID carried a more purposeful tone by encouraging Filipinos to choose leaders who prioritize the people, while still promoting unity and civic responsibility.
