Superman lead stars David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, along with director James Gunn, took on the challenge of making lumpia in a guest appearance on the YouTube vlog of Filipino content creator Abi Marquez.

The trio joined Abi for a "lumpia showdown," where they faced off to see who could roll the most lumpia in two minutes.

"The challenge is simple. The Superman team will go head-to-head as they flawlessly peel off delicate lumpia wrappers and finally roll perfect lumpias with our savory filling," Abi said in the vlog.

"I think lumpia making is not in my future," James quipped as he struggled unpeeling the wrapper.

"Slow and steady," Rachel remarked as she successfully rolled a lumpia and ultimately emerged as the winner with the most rolls completed.

Fans online were quick to react to their lumpia showdown.

"The chemistry of this trio is just perfect," one fan commented.

"Congrats, Abi! So wonderful to see you spreading Fil food with awesome presentation and taste," another fan wrote.

The cast and crew of Superman recently made their way to Manila as part of the film’s international promotional tour.

Following their stop in the Philippines, the Superman team continued the tour with appearances in Rio de Janeiro, London, Paris, and Los Angeles, among others.

Meanwhile, back in May, Abi added another feather to her cap after she won the Food Blogger Award at the World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA) in Cannes.

As per wibaawards.com, WIBA 2025 is the "seventh edition of the global award, honoring the remarkable talents, opinion leaders, and the most influential personalities in the social media world."

In May, Abi also shared that she won three awards at the 46th Annual Telly Awards including Online Series award for Abi’s TikTok, Food & Beverage award for her Mabuhay World Campaign, and Social Video for "Gordon Ramsay Doesn’t Like My Beef Wellington" vlog.
