Kapamilya actress and lead star of the drama movie "Sunshine," Maris Racal, couldn't help but get emotional after watching her film for the first time during its screening at Far East Film Festival held in Udine, Italy.

"I know our movie 'Sunshine' has travelled the world already, but I haven't seen it, not even once, 'coz I wanted my first experience to be in a theater with a lot of people. But I never got to attend big festivals because of my complicated schedule," explained Racal who attended the screening with her director Tonet Jadaone.

During the post-screening interviews, Racal shared why she accepted the role even though she knows it's going to spark conversations, especially in a still-conservative country like the Philippines.

"I accepted the role because I fully support the message. I think women's reproductive rights should be given more importance because there are a lot of women who need that chance and freedom to choose their own, whatever they want with their own bodies," she said.

This screening in Udine will be core memory for Racal, "But this time it feels so special, 'coz it's my first time watching it. Here in Udine, and Udine film festival is the first international film festival that I have ever attended so it's a very emotional moment for me watching it with you guys."
