MANILA — Filipino films "May Billboard Na Si Elias" and "Guardia de Honor" were recognized and awarded in different categories at the Ahmedabad International Film Festival in Gujarat, India.

Two Filipino films proudly represented the Philippines at the prestigious Ahmedabad International Film Festival in Gujarat, India, where they earned recognition and accolades among global contenders.

"May Billboard Na Si Elias", a short film written and directed by Earl Justin Lipana, was named a finalist in the Short Film – Foreign Category and was even featured by the event in a private screening.

Adding to its success, Jemuel Cedrick Razon Satumba won the Best Actor award, standing out among an international slate of performances.

Meanwhile, "Guardia de Honor", which competed in the Full-Length Foreign Film Category, was also part of the festival’s screening lineup.

The film’s director Jay Alterajos and leading actress Laurice Guillen were honored as Best Director and Best Actress respectively, for their outstanding contribution to the movie.

The film’s executive producers, Art Cruz and Riz Cruz, accepted the awards on behalf of SDCC Productions.

"May Billboard Na Si Elias" explores the struggles and aspirations of its protagonist Elias as he seeks recognition, while "Guardia de Honor" delves into themes of duty, legacy, and sacrifice, shaping the lives of its characters through tradition and responsibility.
