The longest running drama anthology on Philippine television, "Maalaala Mo Kaya," is making a big comeback on free television and digital streaming platforms on April 24.

This was the good news delivered by MMK's iconic host, Charo Santos-Concio, on the sidelines of the ABS-CBN Ball last Friday.

"The limited series of 'Maalaala Mo Kaya' will be back on the 24th on iWantTFC. And after 48 hours, it will shown on A2Z and Kapamilya Online (Live) and Kapamilya Channel," she said.

When she learned about it, Santos-Concio was happy not just for her solid team of storytellers, but also for the loyal viewers of the show.

"After two years 'Maalaala Mo Kaya' is back and it will share the beautiful stories of our letter senders, of our Kapamilyas," she said.

She added, "In my heart, I knew that one day babalik siya. Because the loyal viewers and the new generation of viewers are looking forward to watching the true to life stories of our Kapamilyas. Ang daming Gen Z na lumaki na nanonood ng MMK kasama ang kanilang mommies and daddies, lolas and lolos. I'm so happy that they know MMK is a brand of good storytelling."

The award-winning host-actress also shared the first few episodes they have lined up for this comeback season.

"I think the first one is the life story of Sofronio. And we have Elijah (Canlas) portraying Sofronio. Let's look forward to the pilot episode, and also one of the first few episodes in the lineup is life story of one of the BINIs," she said.

Aside from MMK, Santos-Concio has a couple of more things on her plate. She is still working on her Tindeng role in the primetime action-drama series "FPJ's Batang Quiapo," and is set to make a big screen comeback with the light romance-drama movie "Only We Know" opposite Dingdong Dantes.

Her last movie was "Kun Maupay Man It Panahon" with Daniel Padilla.

"Why not, di ba? There's no such thing as retirement. For as long as we're breathing, there's something to learn, something to look forward to. And I'm really having fun," she said.

As for the movie, Santos-Concio is delighted that many are intrigued with how her movie with Dantes would unfold.

"'Yun ang bagong relationship status: Only We Know... I'm really proud of the film. There's a beautiful love story there," she said.

MMK will premiere on iWantTFC on April 24, followed by A2Z, Kapamilya Online Live, and Kapamilya Channel on April 26.
