The Korean medical thriller series "Hyper Knife" has emerged as the most-viewed Korean premiere on Disney+ globally in 2025.

The series, which debuted with two episodes on March 19, led viewership in the Asia-Pacific region and globally based on seven days of streaming, Disney+ said Wednesday in a press release.

"Hyper Knife" features actress Park Eun-bin as Jung Se-ok,  a brilliant neurosurgeon who resorts to performing illegal surgeries after losing her medical license following a conflict with her mentor.

Circumstances, however, bring Se-ok and her former mentor, Choi Deok-hee (played by veteran actor Sul Kyung-gu), back into each other's lives, leading to a tense reunion.

Eun-bin is best known for playing the titular role in the legal drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," while Kyung-gu's notable films include "Memoir of a Murderer," "The Book of Fish" and "Kill Boksoon."

"Hyper Knife" is among Disney+'s lineup of 2025 Korean content. In February, the streamer launched "Unmasked," which follows a group of investigative journalists played by Kim Hye-soo, Jung Sung-il and Joo Jong-hyuk.

Audiences can also look forward to the crime series "Nine Puzzles," starring Kim Da-mi and Son Suk-ku; "Low Life," a treasure-hunting series led by Ryu Seung-ryong; and "Tempest," featuring Jun Ji-hyun and Gang Dong-won, among other projects.
