Krypto is totally going to steal this movie, amirite?

Krypto, Superman’s superpowered pooch, gets some more screen time in the latest sneak peek on “Superman”, the new movie by ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director James Gunn.

The new footage, which was first screened on Cinema Con, shows Krypto playing with a clearly battered Superman before dragging the Kryptonian to the Fortress of Solitude.

We also get a better look at Superman’s automatons, a group of robots that help the Last Son of Krypton heal his injured organs with a healthy dose of yellow sunlight.

The rest of the sneak peek shows footage from the previous teaser, including David Corenswet as Superman and mild-mannered journalist Clark Kent, Rachel Brosnahan as ace reporter and Superman love interest Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as arch nemesis Lex Luthor, Eli Gathegi as Mister Terrific,  Anthony Carrigan as Metamorpho, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl and Nathan Fillion rocking the bowl cut as the Green Lantern Guy Gardner.

Director James Gunn said he drew from several inspirations for his take on Superman, including the Richard Donner films as well as Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely’s “All-Star Superman.”

Superman opens in Philippine theaters on July 9, 2025.
