Kapamilya host Melai Cantiveros took to social media to celebrate her and fellow host Robi Domingo’s Golden Buzzer pick, Femme Manila, from the second episode of Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 7.

On her Instagram page, Melai expressed that they did not hesitate to award their Golden Buzzer to the 31-member LGBTQIA+ dance group.

Melai jokingly ended her message by saying she already had a share in the team’s potential winnings if they win the season.

“Super Proud kami sa inyu @_femmemnl and hinding hindi ako magsisisi dahil may 10% percent na agad ako mula sa inyu hahahha Char lang 😄😉✌️ See u sa Finals Femme Manila,” she continued. “Thank you Lord and thank you PGT fam ❤️.”

Last Sunday, Femme Manila impressed both the judges and the audience during the second episode of Pilipinas Got Talent Season 7. Their powerful performance prompted the audience to chant for the judges to press the Golden Buzzer.

Kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo was in awe, saying, “Oh my gosh! Thank you! Ang galing, galing niyo. Ang gaganda niyo. Ang masasabi ko lang ay wala na kayong kailangan patunayan. Femme Manila, ang galing! Hindi ako maka-move on sa performance niyo.”

Donny Pangilinan added, “Power is there. The passion is there so respeto.”

Meanwhile, veteran judge Freddie M. Garcia described their performance in one word: “world-class.”

Eugene Domingo also expressed her admiration, stating, “Mahal ko ang mga bakla. Masaya kapag may bakla. Dapat may bakla. The category is, Pilipinas Got Bakla.”

Backstage, Melai and Robi commended the group for their outstanding performance.

“I think, para sa akin, hindi lang sila pang-semi-finals, pang-finals na sila,” Robi said.

The two then proceeded to the main stage to personally press the Golden Buzzer.

“Femme Manila, para sa amin, kayo ay deserving ng (golden buzzer),” Robi said. “Dahil sa golden buzzer, Femme Manila, congratulations dahil kayo ay diresto na sa semi-finals.”

When asked why they wanted to win this season’s championship, Femme Manila emphasized their desire to inspire young dancers.

“Para po maka-reach kami ng mas malawak na audience especially yung mga kabataan na mananayaw na katulad din po namin na gusto namin silang mainspire at may mararating po talaga tayo. And we wanted to show the Philippines, the world, the universe, rather, that we are confidently beautiful, talented with a heart,” the group said.

Following their victory, the group took to social media to express their gratitude to the PGT hosts.

“WAAAAHHHH!! DAPAT MAY BAKLA SA SEMIS! 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Maraming salamat sa tiwala @iamrobidomingo and @mrandmrsfrancisco Pangako na hindi namin kayo bibiguin sa semifinals! 🫶🥹 #PilipinasGotTalent #GoldenBuzzer #FemmeMNL,” they wrote.
