David Licauco recounted his experience sharing the stage with Kathryn Bernardo during the fashion show of clothing brand Bench.

"Nung nasa stage na kami, parang surreal moment for me," David recounted in an interview with Dolly Anne Carvajal on the Dollywood PH YouTube channel

A longtime fan of Kathryn's, David shared that he grew up watching her films. "I used to watch her all the time, all her movies," he shared.

He relayed that among his favorite movies of the Kapamilya star are Crazy Beautiful You and The Hows of Us.

If given the opportunity, David said he would love to do a romantic film with Kathryn. "Siyempre romantic [movie], definitely. Dun ko siya in-idolize eh so that would be a dream of mine," he stated.

During the recent press conference of David's upcoming movie Samahan ng mga Makasalanan, the actor also expressed admiration for the Kapamilya star, noting how meaningful the experience of sharing the stage with Kathryn during the Bench fashion show.

"I’ve been vocal about it [wanting to work with Bernardo]. Nung bata ako siya 'yung pinapanood ko kaya nung nakita ko siya nung isang araw sa Bench, I was in awe," he said as reported by Inquirer.

Though they did not have the chance to have a conversation on stage, David was simply grateful for the shared moment, saying: "Kinikilig? Hindi naman. Happy lang."

Back in 2024, David starred in the movie That Kind of Love with Barbie Forteza.

The actor previously starred in the series Maria Clara at Ibarra, Maging Sino Ka Man, and Pulang Araw.

Aside from being an actor, David is also an entrepreneur.

"I grew up in a family na businessman and businesswoman talaga. From there, I started studying, I studied in London Business School and then also improved on myself," he shared in a recent interview with Jessica Soho on how his entrepreneurial journey started.

Meanwhile, Kathryn headlined the film Hello, Love, Again with Alden Richards in 2024. The actress also starred in A Very Good Girl in 2023.

Kathryn is currently part of Pilipinas Got Talent season 7 as a judge. 

The Kapamilya star starred in the series 2 Good 2 Be True in 2022.
