Veteran and rising actors are set to bring an intense crime thriller to the screen as JRB Creative Production unveils its newest mystery drama, Sins of the Father.

Among the cast members are actors Jerald Napoles, Soliman Cruz, and Nico Antonio, who recently expressed their excitement and gratitude for being part of the highly-anticipated Kapamilya series.

Actor-comedian Jerald Napoles shared his enthusiasm about securing a main role in an ABS-CBN series for the first time.

“Una sa lahat, nagpapasalamat ako sa ABS-CBN, JRB Production. Kasi this is really my first role sa isang ABS-CBN series na kasama ako sa main cast mula umpisa. Kasi, usually parang sa gitna ako pumapasok as a guest, or kung ma-regular man, it's just an added character,” Jerald told PUSH ABS-CBN.

He also noted that his first-ever story conference inside the ABS-CBN building was for Sins of the Father.

“Ngayon, parang it's really my first time to attend the story conference inside the ABS-CBN building. So, I'm so excited and very thankful because of course it's a project that I'm excited about and the creative team,” he added.

Another aspect Jerald is eager about is working with his "tukayo" and Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson.

“I'm looking forward to work with, of course, the other Gerald, the lead, in this project. Of course, alam naman natin yung body of work ni Gerald as an actor,” Jerald shared.

He further emphasized the value of learning from fellow actors, saying, “It's always exciting, kagaya ng sabi ni Tito Pip (Tirso Cruz III) na kasama rin sa cast, na we always learn from our co-leads, kahit ano’ng age iyan, bata o matanda. So excited ako sa matututunan ko and excited ako, of course, para makatrabaho ko ang mga magagaling na actor at actress.”

Actor Nico Antonio echoed Jerald’s excitement, highlighting the uniqueness of the series.

“Excited na po ako kasi kakaiba yung project na 'to. First time na crime thriller na very much involved yung character ko,” Nico shared.

He also stressed the importance of working with a stellar cast in honing their craft.

“I hope that we will get together para mas mapa-improve, mas mailabas namin yung best namin, yung talents namin together para mapabuti at mapaganda yung palabas,” Nico said.

Veteran actor Soliman Cruz expressed his happiness in reuniting with director FM Reyes, who directed his first-ever television series.

“Unang-una masaya siyempre at makakatrabaho ko ulit unang-una yung una kong direktor sa una kong ginawang teleserye. Yung una kong teleseryen ginawa yung Maging Sino ka Man. So, after how many years, magkakatrabaho ulit kami nina Direk FMR,” Soliman said.

He is also excited to collaborate with his fellow stars, adding, “I’m looking forward sa magiging ka-eksena ko tapos do’n sa aming magagawang perfomance. Looking foward na makakaeksena ko ang mahuhusay na artista.”

Apart from Jerald Napoles, Nico Antonio, and Soliman Cruz, Sins of the Father has a cast that includes Jessy Mendiola, JC de Vera, Shaina Magdayao, Joko Diaz, RK Bagatsing, Seth Fedelin, Francine Diaz, LA Santos, and Tirso Cruz III. Leading the series is Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson.

Directed by FM Reyes and Bjoy Balagtas, the highly anticipated series held its story conference last Tuesday, March 25. Kapamilya executives Cory Vidanes, Lauren Dyogi, Business Unit Head Julie Anne R. Benitez, and Creative Manager Dindo Perez were also present to support the cast and production team.
