Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino's 'My Love Will Make You Disappear' makes P12 million on first day

MANILA — "My Love Will Make You Disappear" starring Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino made P12 million in ticket sales on its first day, logging the highest opening day gross among all local films so far this year. 

Directed by Chad Vidanes, the film is about a woman named Sari who believes that every man she loves would disappear. Sari later meets the heartbroken Jolo. Hearing about Sari's curse, Jolo sees it as an opportunity to escape from his painful past. 

The movie also stars Melai Cantiveros, Wilma Doesnt, Lovely Abella, Benj Manalo, Nico Antonio, Migs Almendras, Martin Escudero, Karina Bautista, Jeremiah Lisbo, Atasha Franco, Kelsey Lasam, and Lucas Andalio.

On Wednesday, Chiu and Avelino were busy gracing block screenings.

As of March 26, "My Love Will Make You Disappear" is showing in over 380 cinemas nationwide.

The movie also opens in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and United Arab Emirates on Thursday. 

"My Love Will Make You Disappear" is Chiu and Avelino's first movie together after working in the series "Linlang" and the Philippine remake of "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim."
