Apart from showing her acting prowess in the series Incognito, Kaila Estrada went viral for her character Max's "micro-bangs" in the primetime action teleserye.

Kaila told PUSH ABS-CBN in an exclusive interview how they came up with her now-iconic hairstyle.

“Honestly, matagal kong pinag-isipan kung anong hairstyle ko as Max. (There is) a lot of back and forth din with our head makeup artist and yung Star Creatives kung paano natin iibahin yung itsura ni Max. It was a very, it was risky, the decision to do micro-bangs, especially kasi hindi nakikisama ang bangs sa mga action scenes,” she revealed.

The Incognito star candidly shared how much she appreciates those who embrace Max's micro-bangs and how she feels about the attention it’s been getting.

“Sobrang kinikilig din ako pag nakakita ako na may gumagaya sa bangs ni Max. Naawa ko sa mga ibang bata, sa totoo lang. Kasi parang sumobra ata ng iksi yung mga ibang bangs nila,” she playfully remarked.

She went on saying how grateful she is with the feedback: “I'm very grateful and I'm very flattered na nauuso na ang micro-bangs ngayon. And maganda ang feedback ng mga tao sa bangs. I would love that more than if people hated it.”

Meanwhile, the actress opened up about how her character Max stands out from all the equally strong female roles she’s portrayed before.

“I feel like yung personality niya rin is very different. I would say, yung tapang niya is also very internal. Obviously, she's skilled and you see her fight. But, nakita na rin ng mga tao yung pinagdadaanan niya behind the fighting, the hacking. She's also going through a lot of pain,” she said.

Kaila also admired her character’s ability to help others despite her internal struggles. “I feel like, dun nanggagaling yung tapang niya, her ability to get things done, and to show up for herself everyday, and to show up for the people that believe in her, and that are relying on her, regardless of what she's going through. I think that's strength. And I think that's a very different type of strength from the other characters that I've portrayed.”
