"Eraserheads: Combo On The Run" is having an extended theatrical run due to insistent public demand. 

The documentary about the influential OPM band Eraserheads, which was originally intended for a limited release, will be shown in cinemas for another week.

Director Diane Ventura said she is overwhelmed by the public's "positive response and support" for the film.

"I'm filled with so much gratitude," she said in a statement. "I hope more people get to see the film. I hope it does for them what it did for me."

"This is not just a music story; it's our story," she added. "This is for all of us."

"Eraserheads: Combo On the Run" features rare footage and never-before-seen interviews with members of the once-disbanded OPM band known for hits such as "Alapaap," "Pare Ko," and "Magasin." 

Frontman Ely Buendia recently declared that the Eraserheads are back together, at least for now. 

"We're here to stay... Until we decide to break up again, that is," he said in jest.
