Filipino actor Mon Confiado recently shared a snapshot on Instagram showing himself alongside award-winning Scottish actor Iain Glen, who will co-star with him in the highly anticipated historical film Quezon.

In his post, Mon proudly highlighted Glen’s numerous accolades, describing him as "the greatest Scottish theatre actor of his generation" known for multiple award-winning performances.

Mon highlighted Glen’s popular roles in hit TV series like Game of Thrones, Jack Taylor, and Titans. Iain's notable film credits include Mountains of the Moon, Song for a Raggy Boy, and Eye in the Sky.

In Quezon, Iain will portray Leonard Wood, a U.S. Army major and Governor-General of the Philippines, who significantly influenced Manuel Quezon’s advocacy for Philippine independence from American rule.

Film director Jerrold Tarog expressed excitement over Glen’s casting, emphasizing the depth Glen brings to the project. "[He] has gravitas. But at the same time, he can let loose, which is important for the role of Leonard Wood," the director remarked as reported by Variety.

Daphne O. Chiu, president and COO of TBA Studios, echoed the enthusiasm, stating, "We are very honored to have Iain Glen in ‘Quezon.’ This film is shaping up to be one of the biggest productions in Philippine cinema, with one of the largest casts ever assembled. We are excited to share with Iain — and the rest of the world — the production scale and level of artistry that Filipino filmmakers are capable of."

In February, it was announced that Mon will portray Emilio Aguinaldo again, the first president of the Philippines, in the film. Mon previously revealed on Instagram that he had started extensive preparations and research to embody Emilio authentically.

"When preparing for a role, actors will often be advised to do their research," he explained. "Research helps inform your acting process, allowing you to bring characters to life as you continue to develop a deep understanding of their character traits, body language, internal conflicts and personality traits. #TheMethod #Quezon #Aguinaldo," he highlighted.

Mon recently also gave fans a glimpse of his transformation into the former president, sparking further excitement and anticipation for the release of Quezon.
