New 'Drag Race PH' series to shine spotlight on Asian drag queens

"Drag Race Philippines" has announced a new edition that will feature an all-Asian cast of returning drag queens. 

"Slaysian Royale" will premiere later this year on (World of Wonder) WOW Presents Plus in the Philippines and worldwide.

It will see Filipino drag artists compete with Asian queens from across the "Drag Race" franchise, with the final lineup yet to be revealed. 

"This new version of 'Drag Race' shines a spotlight on Asian drag as never before, celebrating its culture, its history and creativity in a unique battle royale," WOW co-founders Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey said in a statement posted on the Instagram page of "Drag Race Philippines" on Friday.

The third season of "Drag Race Philippines" concluded in October 2024, with Maxie declared as the winner after 10 episodes and various challenges.
