After a decade of playing Eleven on Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown opened up about the emotional experience of filming the last episodes of the final season, calling it a deeply personal and reflective moment in her life.

"Really emotional. Again ten years of my life. I started when I was 10 years old and my whole life has really been dedicated to the show. My career was built on the show," she recalled in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

The actress remarked that saying goodbye to the show also meant bidding farewell to an important chapter of her life.  

"You are not only saying goodbye to the characters that you've built but also to the people that you've met, the person that you've become, the lessons that you've learned. It is so much to think about," she pointed out.

Millie admitted that the conclusion of the series was really hard to process. "It took me a while to kind of get over all of it because it was just really an emotional goodbye," she confessed.

Looking back on her journey, Millie shared some of the key lessons she has learned from her journey in the entertainment industry.

"I think just honestly always try and stay humble... [connect] with the people that you love, connecting with the real world. This industry can swoop you up and [will] try to take you in all different directions but you remember where you came from."

It was in December 2024 when Stranger Things wrapped up its filming for the final season.

In a clip she posted on her Instagram page last year, Millie can be seen sharing a message for her co-stars and the crew of the show on the last shooting day of the series.

"Isn't graduation supposed to bring relief, like you're glad to leave behind the teachers and classmates? Not me. I am nowhere near ready to leave you guys," she remarked, turning emotional.

"I love each and every one of you, and I'll forever carry the memories and bonds we've created together as a family. I love you. Thank you," she added.
