Gabbi Garcia took a nostalgic trip down memory lane as she stepped into her new role as an official host of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition, reminiscing about the time when she was just a young fan of the show.

"From my 5 year old self dancing to 'Pinoy Ako' PBB’s theme song, to being the Kapuso It Girl ni Kuya, to being stuck inside Kuya’s house??!! HAHAHA Magandang Gabbi po!!! I’m back in the outside world!!!" she posted on Instagram.

On Sunday, March 9, Gabbi hosted the opening night of PBB, where she found herself unexpectedly locked inside the house as part of a special task.

"For now. what a crazy Day 1 for #PBBTheBigCollab #PBBCelebrityCollabEdition #HostedByGabbiG," she remarked.

Fans online were quick to react to Gabbi's post.

"'Yung hindi ka pinalad maging housemate kasi itinakda ka pala para maging host mismo ng PBB. What a twist," one fan commented.

"Congrats @gabbi super proud of you! kaabang-abang ang pagpasok mo ulit sa bahay ni Kuya!" another fan wrote.

During the recent media conference of PBB, Gabbi relayed that she once auditioned for the show. She made it past the first round, but she didn’t advance to the next round after the second one.

Gabi described becoming a PBB host as a full circle moment.

"Today, it’s such a full circle moment for me to be able to, you know, audition how many years ago. And then right now, I’m standing in front of you as a host. I’m so humbled, and I’m so grateful for this opportunity," she remarked as reported by GMA.

It was in February when it was announced that Gabbi will be hosting PBB.
