The recently released trailers for Puregold CinePanalo 2025 entries have sparked the interest of Filipino cinephiles across the internet. This year's festival offers a “panalo” cinematic experience with a selection of films spanning numerous genres—romance, drama, mystery, sports, and documentary.

“The trailers are just a glimpse of the powerful and deeply moving stories that Puregold CinePanalo 2025 has to offer,” said Ivy Hayagan-Piedad, Puregold senior marketing manager and festival chair.

“Each film brings a unique voice, a fresh perspective, and a compelling narrative that deserves to be experienced on the big screen. We invite everyone to be part of this celebration of Filipino storytelling — because these are films you wouldn’t want to miss,” she added.

KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad for “Co-Love”

The trailer for “Co-Love,” starring Jameson Blake, KD Estrada, Alexa Ilacad, and Kira Balinger, depicts two pairs of online influencers embroiled in fierce competition and bitter breakups. In Jill Singson Urdaneta's film, can the protagonists put an end to romantic hijinks?

RK Bagatsing and Janella Salvador for “Fleeting”

The “Fleeting” trailer displays both the strong connection between lead actors Janella Salvador and RK Bagatsing, as well as their simmering tension. Romance lies on the horizon as the film is set in the lovely city of Mati, Davao Oriental, near the seashore. Catsi Catalan makes her feature film directorial debut with "Fleeting."

 Khalil Ramos in “Olsen’s Day”

The “Olsen's Day” trailer shows Khalil Ramos' main character taking a large piece off of his birthday cake. Viewers receive snippets of a crucial road trip with Olsen at the wheel, reflecting on life, family, and the future. "Olsen's Day," directed by JP Habac, encourages viewers to reflect on issues that many of them can identify to.

"Tigkiliwi” trailer has frightening vistas of mourning, graveyards, and even mentions of a sinister flesh-eating demon. Tara Illenberger wrote and directed “Tigkiliwi,” which explores the darker sides of the Filipino mind.

The “Salum” trailer transports viewers to the depths of the ocean, where a scallop diver strives to discover sea treasures and provide for his impoverished family. The gripping plot and spectacular underwater moments in TM Malones' film will leave the spectator breathless.

JC Santos and Jasmine Curtis-Smith in “Journeyman”

“Journeyman” takes on a classic sports story. The teaser depicts boxer JC Santos as a "professional loser" who intentionally dives throughout his matches. The film, directed by brothers Christian Paolo and Dominic Lat, is expected to be one of the festival's most exciting submissions this year.

“Sepak Takraw” portrays the sports genre from a more young perspective, with the teaser depicting two brothers joining the same squad to play the namesake sport. Mes de Guzman utilizes the game of sepak takraw to bring her characters together and confront them with questions about family and cultural identity.

Finally, the “Food Delivery: Fresh from the West Philippine Sea” trailer provides viewers with a brief, dramatic glimpse of the obstacles that Filipino fisherman face as they work in the West Philippine Sea. Baby Ruth Villarama makes Puregold CinePanalo history by showing the first-ever documentary to film festival attendees.
