'Batang Quiapo' breaches 1 million concurrent online viewers mark

MANILA — ABS-CBN's hit primetime series “FPJ's Batang Quiapo” has set a new online viewership record, breaching the 1,000,000 concurrent viewers mark in its February 21 episode. 

"THIS JUST IN: FPJ's Batang Quiapo has breached million mark with a total of 1,004,554 peak concurrent viewerd on Kapamilya Online Live on Youtube!" Dreamscape Entertainment announced Friday.



The latest episode continues the confrontation and ensuing gunfight involving Tanggol (Coco Martin), David (McCoy de Leon), Rigor (John Estrada) and Ramon (Christopher de Leon). 

The episode also saw a fierce encounter between Tanggol and Ramon as Marites (Cherry Pie Picache) reveals the truth about their past.

This is the fourth night in a row that the show recorded more than 800,000 online viewers.

Lead star Coco Martin previously shared how the entire production team meticulously studied and plotted the show's characters and storylines, adding that the audience reception delighted their team.

"Ang sarap sa pakiramdam na alam mo yung pinaghihirapan mo yung trabaho mo at naa-appreciate ng mga manonood," Martin said.

"Batang Quiapo" airs weeknights at 8 p.m. on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, Cinemo, A2Z, TV5, iWantTFC and TFC.
