Netflix unveiled the teaser of the upcoming K-Drama The Potato Lab.

Starring Kang Tae-oh and Lee Sun-bin, the series will premiere on Netflix this March.

"I'm ready for all the laughter and sur-fries-es! 🥔 Falling in love is no small potatoes on The Potato Lab, coming to Netflix on March 1," the streaming giant announced on Tuesday, February 18.

According to a Naver report, as translated by Soompi, the upcoming drama is set in a rural potato research institute and centers on an unexpected romance between two individuals with contrasting personalities.

Lee Sun-Bin takes on the role of Kim Mi-kyeong, a dedicated researcher whose life revolves around studying potatoes. Her structured world is disrupted when So Baek-ho (Tae-oh), a cold and pragmatic corporate director, unexpectedly enters her life. As their paths collide, an unexpected romance unfolds.

In the teaser, Baek-ho can be seen imposing strict rules as he arrived at the potato research institute. The teaser also shows the adorable bickering between Baek-ho and Mi-kyeong.

Fans online were quick to express their excitement about the show.

"This will be my first potato-related K-Drama," one fan commented.

"WOW THIS IS SO REFRESHING!! IM SO EXCITED AHHHHH ITS SO ROM-COM!!!" another fan wrote.

It was in May 2024 when Tae-oh and Sun-bin were confirmed to headline the new K-Drama.

“I feel excited to show a new side of me to viewers," Sun-bin remarked in a previous interview.

Tae-oh admitted that he was a "little nervous" as it was his first project after his military service. "But I am more excited about being able to greet viewers again with a great project. I will work hard on filming with joy as much as viewers have waited, so please show lots of interest and anticipation for Potato Research Institute," he remarked.

Tae-oh was discharged from the military in March 2024.

"I enlisted after receiving great love from everyone after wrapping up Extraordinary Attorney Woo. I faced the end of my 20s and start of my 30s in the military, and it was a meaningful time during which I fixed my bad habits and earned only good things," he remarked in a statement after finishing his military service last year.
