Streaming giant Netflix announced their content slate for 2025.

"No matter what you’re looking forward to this year, there’s no way to be completely ready for what’s next on Netflix," Bela Bajaria, Netflix Chief Content Officer, remarked at the company’s annual showcase as per press release.

She added: "With more than 700 million people watching, we can’t just be one thing. We need to be the best version of everything."

Among the new titles that Netflix will be Frankenstein by Guillermo del Toro, a passion project 50 years in the making, and RIP, a crime thriller starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

The platform is also set to release The Four Seasons, a remake of the 1981 film, led by Tina Fey with a cast of beloved comedy actors.

New series that will be premiering on the platform this year include Death by Lightning from David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, Zero Day starring Robert De Niro, Black Rabbit starring and executive produced by Jason Bateman and Jude Law, and The Beast in Me with Claire Danes and Matthew Rhys.

Fan-favorite shows Stranger Things, Wednesday, and Squid Game will also return. Bela confirmed that Wednesday has wrapped production and will be released later this year, while the final season of Squid Game will premiere on June 27.

Discussing the final season of Stranger Things, co-creator Ross Duffer described it as their "biggest and most ambitious season yet." His brother and fellow co-creator, Matt Duffer, added, "At the same time, we believe it's our most personal story. Filming was incredibly intense and emotional—for us and for our actors."

Meanwhile for the live events, aside from the WWE, the SAG Awards, and the NFL on Christmas Day, Netflix's global fan event TUDUM will stream live from Los Angeles on May 31. Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney, a unique weekly late-night show, will also be premiering live on the platform on March 12.

Documentary films that will be premiering on Netflix include Chaos: The Manson Murders, Eddie, and Pangolin: Kulu’s Journey, among others.

"We’re not just one thing. We’re the best of film, TV, documentaries, stand-up, animation and live events — and we’re doing it in 50 languages. We’re not afraid to make big bets on compelling voices and new ideas — whether it’s a plot twist, an original story, or a big live moment," Bela remarked.

"That’s what Netflix is all about. Bold choices. Creativity. Surprises. Fandom. Entertaining the world. That’s what keeps our members coming back week after week, month after month, year after year. And that’s what we’ll be doing in 2025," she added.
