After a short hiatus from the big screen, actress Jennylyn Mercado is back to acting starting this year with the CreaZion Studios’ latest movie offering Everything About My Wife where she stars with husband Dennis Trillo. The official trailer for the romantic comedy was released online last January 28 and shows the real-life couple traversing the challenges at different stages of a relationship from courtship to married life.

The film’s storyline revolves around the story of Dom (Dennis Trillo) and Imo (Jennylyn Mercado) and how they started their marriage from trying to build a family to finding ways to keep the spark alive between them. But as they enter into the seven-year itch, things into sour when reality sets in and Dom starts to feel trapped in the marriage. 

Enter the presence of the ruggedly handsome Miguel (played by Sam Milby) who enters into Imo’s life and adds another challenge to the marriage. 

In a previous interview, the Everything About My Wife star admitted how excited she is to be doing a movie project with her husband and her return to acting this year. The couple, who also opened their own production house Brightburn Entertainment, are also busy with their various business ventures aside from their showbiz careers.

In a previous interview, Jennylyn explained why she does not mind always being busy handling everything.

“Siyempre, kaya ko naman ginagawa ito para sa future ng pamilya ko, ng mga anak ko. And itong DYLN (Style Lounge), pagka wala ako, sila na ang mag-ha-handle nito. Para naman secured na yung future nila kapag dumating yung oras na kailangan ko na silang iwan. Huwag naman (laughs). Pero hindi natin masasabi yung panahon. Hindi natin masasabi yung buhay. Hindi natin alam kung anong puwedeng mangyari,” she shared.

Everything About My Wife opens in cinema starting on February 26 and is directed by Real Florido and produced by GMA Pictures, CreaZion Studios, and Glimmer Studio.
