Antoinette Jadaone revealed that Judy Ann Santos and Mylene Dizon will be part of the upcoming reunion movie of Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin titled Ex Ex Lovers.

It can be recalled that the cast members previously headlined the series Gimik from 1996 to 1999.

"Pinapangarap lang namin ito lashir… hindi nanatiling drowing 😭😭😭 ang suryal sila mapanood magkakasama. THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUU," Antoinette posted on her Instagram page.

She went on: "@officialjuday @missmylenedizon ❤️ all for the love of marvin and jolens. Excited na ako mapanood. As a fan na ako dito, not as produ and writer 😅," she said.

Fans online were quick to react to the announcement.

"Salamat Direk! GIMIK Girls ❤️" one fan commented.

"Our gimik heart is so happy 🥹," another fan wrote.

Ex Ex Lovers will hit the big screen on February 12. The romantic-comedy movie is directed by JP Habac.

"We've been discussing and talking about this film. Hindi lang siya kasi basta pelikula sa'min ni Jolina, parang ito 'yung buhay namin mula ng '90s and this is something that we want to do again as artists as actors," Marvin remarked in a media conference back in December 2024.

Reuniting for this project gave them the chance to reflect on their journey as a duo—both past and present. “Ang mga naalala ko, kung paano kami before pag nagtatrabaho, kung paano kami nag-aaway, nagtatampuhan,” Jolina shared. “But now, sobrang connected kami ni Marvin.”

Marvin and Jolina aim to create a film that resonates with a wide audience. “It’s so fulfilling to make a film with the simple goal of making people happy,” Marvin remarked.

Antoinette shared that the project has been in development since 2018, well before the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Feeling ko si Marvin and Jolina, meron silang unique brand of rom-com. Na miss namin 'yung ganung romcom na manonood tayo ng sine para kiligin at tumawa," she stated.
