As the camera glides seamlessly through different angles, your seat follows suit, swaying and vibrating to the song’s pounding beat. A subtle woody fragrance wafts through the movie house, further drawing you into the immersive spectacle.

Such was the experience of watching K-pop performances in 4DX — something TXT fans can look forward to with the concert film “Together X Together: Hyperfocus,” which recently had an advance screening for media members ahead of its limited run at select Ayala Malls Cinemas from January 15 to 21.

The 4DX feature delivers a thrilling sensory journey, offering a unique way for audiences to engage with TXT’s performances.

The film plays out on an expansive screen, punctuated by intimate close-up shots of the members that are sure to elicit shrieks from fans. The 4DX effects elevate the experience with moving seats, wind effects during cloudy scenes, flashes of light synced with lightning strikes, and even scents that fill the venue.

The film’s visuals were equally captivating, with the song-and-dance numbers unfolding in diverse and striking settings—including a parking lot and a desert (We’ll avoid giving away the full setlist to keep the surprise for those who haven’t seen it yet).

Adding to the concert-like experience, Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Huening Kai also address the audience between performances, much like the “ments” during live concerts.

Perhaps the film’s potential drawbacks are its relatively short runtime — less than an hour — which might leave fans craving for more given the group’s rich discography, and the absence of subtitles (at least during the media screening) which could be a hurdle for non-Korean-speaking audiences. However, these concerns pale in comparison to the utter delight of being transported into fantastical settings alongside TXT.
