Actor Dennis Trillo shared his thoughts on venturing into directing, while celebrating the milestone of co-producing his movie, Green Bones, under Brightburn Entertainment.

In an exclusive interview, Dennis was asked about the possibility of seeing him take on the role of a writer or director. He answered, “Oo, hindi impossible.

Dennis has been in the industry for more than 20 years already. As a seasoned actor, are there still projects he hopes to do?

He echoed the same sentiments when asked about the stories he would personally like to helm, saying that they have a lot of ideas.

Elaborating on his vision for his company, Dennis said, “Naisip naming itayo itong kumpanyang ito dahil gusto namin makapag-produce ng mga magagandang pelikula, specifically ‘yung mga movies na talagang gusto namin gawin and ‘yung mga projects na noon pa namin gustong gawin pero hindi dumarating ‘yung mga opportunities na ‘yun. So ito ‘yung time para gawin namin ‘yung mga dreams namin into reality, ‘yung mga ideas namin into beautiful projects na mamahalin ng mga manonood.”

In the future, what kind of projects is he looking to produce? Iba’t ibang genre. Abangan ninyo ‘yun, excited kami. Isang show ‘dun ay magsasama kami ni [Jennylyn Mercado].”

Meanwhile, Dennis feels grateful that his first co-produced film is part of the Metro Manila Film Festival 2024. “Yes, first major project ever ng Brightburn Entertainment,” he confirmed.

“Sobrang fortunate na mabigyan kami ng chance na makapagco-produce dito sa project na ‘to na talagang pinaniniwalaan namin,” he added, expressing gratitude to his fellow producers GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs.

As the movie is an official entry to the 2024 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), Dennis said, “Masayang masaya kami dahil siyempre ito ‘yung chance talaga para mag-produce ng pelikula dahil ito ‘yung time na pinakamaraming nanonood na mga tao sa sinehan.

What made him say yes to this project as both a producer and an actor?

“Well, lahat ng factors nandito na eh. Solid ‘yung script niya.

The film, written by Anj Atienza and Ricky Lee, is directed by Zig Dulay, who also helmed Firefly, which won Best Picture and Best Screenplay at the previous MMFF.
