Why Vice Ganda wasn't ready to work with Eugene Domingo yet

<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1733460361709Vice-Ganda.jpg" style="width:950px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" alt="Why Vice Ganda wasn&#x27;t ready to work with Eugene Domingo yet"/></div><div><br/></div><p>Seeing Vice Ganda and Eugene Domingo in one frame was a cinematic explosion in the upcoming Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry &quot;And The Breadwinner Is…&quot; </p><p>But during the media conference, Vice explained why she didn’t want to work with Eugene Domingo yet.</p><p>Director Jun Lana told Vice that he wanted Domingo for the role of Tita Baby.</p><p>“Si Direk Jun gumamit ng friendship card kasi gusto niya talaga si Uge (Domingo) for the role. Ako, kasi ayoko pa. Kasi meron akong dream na project na kasama ko si Uge,” said Vice.</p><p>“Sabi ko ayoko kasi meron akong gusto na dalawa kaming bida. Kaya ayoko muna, kasi una, nahihiya ako kay Eugene kasi support, ang gusto ko kasi dalawa kaming bida. Sabi ko, kung makikita na kami rito, baka mapre-empt na &#x27;yung plano ko. Gusto ko may pasabog kami ni Uge &#x27;yung walanghiyaan kami sa isang pelikula.”</p><p>But what impressed and humbled Vice was Domingo’s generosity.</p><p>“Eh ang generous niya, she didn’t mind na - support ko si Vice. Sige!”</p><p>This is one of the reasons why her comeback movie is not one for the books, but also very personal to her.</p><p>“Iba &#x27;yung pagmamahal ko dito sa movie, iba din &#x27;yung pagmamahal na nakuha ko sa mga kasama ko. Lahat sila may balak sa akin. Lahat sila may project sa akin. May gusto sila na makita ng mga tao sa akin pag napanood ang pelikulang ito,” said Vice.  </p><p>In the official trailer, there were moments of confrontation and dramatic pauses, offering Vice’s loyal following a different vibe, a different beat.</p><p>“I wasn’t scared to get out of my comfort zone. Okay ako lumabas, I’m scared na hindi ko ma-deliver at hindi ko mapanindigan. Kaya I made sure na ma-deliver ko ito at mapapanindigan ko ito.”</p><p>Vice also said that she requested some of the actors to be part of the movie like Gladys Reyes and Jhong Hilario.  </p><p>“Wala pa kaming concept ang request ko talaga sina Gladys at Jhong. Gusto namin, lahat kami - hindi lang comedy kung &#x27;di drama-comedy.
