For the first time their career, popular love team FranSeth, composed of Seth Fedelin and Francine Diaz, walked down the red carpet of the Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal as stars of the Regal FIlms romance My Future You which is one of the ten entries competing this year. The two stars talked about their experience with the press before the program begun.

“At the end of the day, ang gusto lang namin patunayan ay kaya namin umambag para sa pelikulang Pilipino. Na we can act. At saka gusto pa namin matuto. Gusto pa namin matuto sa mga bago pa naming makakatrabaho, senior actors na makakatrabaho namin. Pinagdasal namin yun. At tinupad Niya,” Seth said.

Francine said that she considers it a privilege to just be part of the Metro Manila Film Festival, regardless of the awards.

“Sa totoo lang, nakaka-overwhelm lahat ng magagandang komento ng mga nakapanuod ng pelikula namin. Kahit anong kaba namin tonight, kung anong maging resulta ng lahat, masaya kami na makasama pa lang sa MMFF kasi alam naman natin na hindi ganun kadali makapasok or mapasali. Dun pa lang, kino-consider na namin na panalo kami.

"So masaya kami na nandito kami at natutuwa kami na nakikita na rin ng karamihan yung talent din namin at kung anong kaya namin. At kung ano din yung kaya naming iambag sa industriyang ito. Natuto lang din kami siyempre with the help our directors and co-actors,” she admitted.

With many considering their entry as the dark horse to this year’s competition, the love team said they are flattered by the recognition from the public.

“Nakakakaba naman yun (laughs). Pero nakakatuwa na malaman at masabi yun ng casual viewers din. Grateful kami para makita nila kami as a dark horse for MMFF this year pero na-aappreciate lang namin na na-appreciate din kami ng ibang tao, lalo ngayon,” Francine said.

Seth explained what My Future You can offer to those who are curious to watch it. “Tingin ko hindi dark horse yung tawag eh. Para sigurong kakaiba lang din. Kasi dahil rated G (general patronage) kami ng jury at saka punong puno lang talaga ito ng pagmamahal. As in sobrang gaan ng pelikulang ito. May konting kurot, pero ang mahalaga sa pelikulang ito, may aral ka talagang matututunan. Hindi lang kami basta nagpakilig at saka nag-focus kami sa family. That’s all.”

With the New Year fast approaching, the two talk about what they are looking forward to the most, with Seth revealing that for him, it is his next exciting acting project with Francine.

“I think ang dapat nila abangan yung bago na sisimuklan sa January hopefully. Nobody na TV series. Abangan nila yun. With Gerald (Anderson) and ate Jessy Mendiola.”

Francine added that they will not take anything for granted next year and look forward to more challenges in acting.

“Hindi naman lahat ng meron kami ngayon, hindi naman lahat yun suwerte. We consider it as a blessing. Sa 2025 hopefully we do more projects together talaga kasi this is the beginning na gusto namin ipakita to everyone na kaya namin if given the chance lang talaga, we will deliver. Ibibigay namin ang lahat ng puwede namin gawin. I want to say that this is the beginning.”
