The official title of the second part of the 2024 hit musical movie Wicked has been revealed.

"You will be changed. Wicked: For Good, only in theaters November 21, 2025💚🩷," the movie's official social media page announced.

The new title references a duet that Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will be performing in the sequel.

Fans online were quick to react to the news.

"This title oh IM SOBBING!" one fan commented.

"In my calendar!" another fan wrote.


The first part of the Wicked movie recently breached the $500 million mark in the global box office.

The musical film follows the story of "Elphaba (Cynthia), a misunderstood young woman because of her green skin, and Glinda (Ariana), a popular girl, become friends at Shiz University in the Land of Oz. After an encounter with the Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads," as per its IMDB.

The movie recently bagged four nominations at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy and received 11 nominations at the 30th Critics' Choice Awards including Best Picture.

The movie was also recently hailed as Best Film at the National Board of Review.


Ariana also received her first Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the movie.

"I am floored and honored to be recognized by members of the @goldenglobes. Crying (of course)... It’s impossible to find my words, but I am simply so deeply grateful for this acknowledgement," Ariana posted on her Instagram page following her nomination.

Cynthia also bagged a nomination at the Golden Globes for Best Performance by a female actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy.

"Now that my feet are hovering off the ground, I cannot even come close to properly expressing what this moment means to me," Cynthia posted on social media following her nomination.

She added: "Not just because of this individual nomination, but because I get to watch as this project and my @wickedmovie family are celebrated, too."
