In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Gil and the film's executive producers, Dondon Monteverde and Erik Matti, shared their experience working on the project, which was shot in what is believed to be one of the most haunted places in the world.

"What makes it so special is 'yung uniqueness on how it was done. We used like 18 to 20 cameras to actually accomplish the shots na makikita sa movie. And then also, ang mga artista ang naging camera operators," Monteverde said.

"Yeah. I think it's the first in Philippine cinema that was shot this way. I think it's also cool that we as actors play ourselves, as Enrique. I think that's pretty cool and I haven't done anything like that before, something very interesting for this film and I'm super excited for that. Hopefully the fans and the audience will really like and enjoy it as well," said Gil, who is also co-producing the film.

"The reason why we chose it is we want to inject a kind of freshness sa horror movies natin sa Pinoy. Kasi ang Pinoy may style tayo na tungkol sa probinsiya or multo sa bahay. This one, it's a bit of a modern take to it," Matti said.

"Tapos ang sinasabi niya is right smack to the relevance ngayon ng mga bata which is clout chasing, live streaming. And if you watch the movie, we are excited to show the movie to everyone. Iba 'yung energy niya, iba 'yung rhythm. Hindi siya tipikal pero Pinoy na Pinoy."

Matti and Monteverde said they are happy to work with Gil in "Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital."

"We are very happy that he joined me and Erik on this one. All out support, kita mo 'yung effort. Even during pre-prod stage he was there with us," Monteverde said.

"And what is impressive is, isipin niyo kung paano niyo ibebenta na gagawa tayo ng horror, ishu-shoot sa Taiwan. Oo medyo exciting 'yan pero you will play as yourself, immediately he jumped into it rather than, 'Sige pag-isipan ko muna kasi mahirap maglabas ng sarili,'" Matti said.

"Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital" is dubbed as the Philippines' first meta found footage horror movie. It was inspired by the South Korean hit "Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum."

The movie follows a group of amateur ghost hunters who will explore Xinglin Hospital, an abandoned building located in Taiwan's West Central District.
