Netflix announced that the second season of the hit series XO, Kitty is set to be released in 2025.

In an announcement video on Friday, November 23, the streaming giant revealed through the show's cast members that XO, Kitty will start streaming on January 16.

"I can’t wait! Me and my daughter watch it together love the show. Hope we keep seeing season after season," another fan wrote.

Starring Anna Cathcart as Kitty Song Covey, production for XO, Kitty season 2 was completed in early 2024 in Seoul, South Korea, after the first season's strong reception according to Netflix.

Season 2 follows Kitty’s story as she "heads back to KISS (Korean Independent School of Seoul) for her second semester. She’s single for the first time in a long time and ready for a fresh start: no more meddling, no more drama. Maybe just some casual dating — emphasis on casual. But she has more to worry about than her love life, as a letter from her mother’s past sets her on a wild journey, and new faces at KISS bring change," as per press release.

"As secrets unravel and bonds are tested, Kitty will learn that life, family, and love are more complicated than she ever imagined," the synopsis added.

Aside from Anna, returning cast members include Minyeong Choi (Dae), Gia Kim (Yuri), Sang Heon Lee (Min Ho), Anthony Keyvan (Q), Peter Thurnwald (Alex), and Regan Aliyah (Juliana).

The new season will also feature new stars including Audrey Huynh as Stella, Sasha Bhasin as Praveena, and Joshua Lee as Jin.

A spin-off of the To All the Boys I've Loved Before series, the season 1 of XO, Kitty gained 72.1 million hours of viewing within its first week and landed the top 10 list in 90 countries.
