Heads up, Kapamilya! The highly-anticipated ABS-CBN Ball is just one day away–– get ready to see your favorite artists grace the red carpet. This will be the third ABS-CBN Ball after its brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before the festivities start, find out why the most-anticipated event of the year was renamed to the ABS-CBN Ball.

It was back in 2018 when the renamed ball was announced to the surprise of many Kapamilya fans and artists. Formerly known as the Star Magic Ball, the ABS-CBN Ball was conceptualized and started back in 2006.

Several fans have thought that the Star Magic Ball was exclusively for Star Magic artists–– but this isn’t the case. All ABS-CBN artists and invited artists even outside of ABS-CBN are welcome to celebrate in this highly-anticipated event.

The renaming of the ABS-CBN Ball also signified a new beginning–– a fresh start–– for everyone involved. The Ball will not only celebrate the artists but also the industry partners that have continuously been helping the cause of ABS-CBN as a global storytelling company.

The night of all nights is more than just a celebration for the Kapamilya network but it’s also a night of giving back. The ABS-CBN Ball is for the benefit of the ABS-CBN Foundation as it has been since its inception–– a portion of the proceeds will help support the different advocacies of ABS-CBN Foundation.

Meanwhile, this year’s theme–– Brighter Together–– will showcase some of the brightest stars of ABS-CBN in the past year. Fans could expect their favorite artists to be dressed in their best for this evening.

There will be a special coverage that is set to air at 5 p.m. this April on Metro Channel, ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube Channel, iWantTFC, and TFC IPTV for the red carpet. A red carpet recap by Metro will also be aired right after to highlight some of the best-dressed artists who graced the event.
