Filipino fans can look forward to a string of exciting weekends this May, as some of K-pop and K-drama’s brightest stars head to the Philippines for concerts and fan meetings.

Kicking off the month is NMIXX, the girl group known for their genre-blending “Mixxpop” sound, who will bring their “NMIXX Change Up: Mixx Lab” fan concert at the SMX Convention Center on May 2.

The six-member act will return to the country after almost two years following their “Nice To Mixx You” showcase in June 2023.

On May 10, EXO member Xiumin is also coming back to the country for his “X Times ( )” fan concert, which will be staged at the New Frontier Theater.

“This time, I want to create even more unforgettable memories with all of you,” Xiumin said in a promotional video for the event.

“I’ve prepared a special stage, fun moments and surprises just for you,” he added.

Xiumin previously went to the Philippines in September 2024 for an event aimed at promoting South Korean tourism.

Local fans will also feel the power of K-pop superstar G-Dragon, who will bring his “Übermensch” concert to the Philippine Arena on May 17.

The show marks G-Dragon’s comeback to the Philippine concert scene after nearly eight years, following his “Act III: M.O.T.T.E” tour stop at the Araneta Coliseum in 2017.

Actor Song Joong-ki is set to wrap up the month’s events with “IAM Song Joong-ki: Live in Manila,” happening on May 24 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The show, organized by a local health and wellness brand that the “Vincenzo” star currently endorses, marks the actor’s first live appearance in Manila.

In a video message, Joong-ki expressed his excitement about visiting the Philippine capital and trying the local cuisine, asking fans for recommendations for “authentic Filipino dishes.”
