With air travel becoming more and more popular in the country, celebrities can be seen jet-setting all over the world throughout the year. One of the longest opportunities for them to get a break from work usually happens during Holy Week but these celebrities share why they have no big travel plans.

Darren Espanto

“I want to spend time with my family sa Pilipinas, with my grandparents also. Para mabisita ko sila sa Holy Week.”

Sam Concepcion

“I haven’t given it that much thought but I want to say maybe I’ll go to somewhere local, either Bohol or Siquijor or some place different.”

Maki

“Wala akong plano. Sa sobrang busy, hindi talaga kami nakaisip. Pero as an introvert po, sa bahay lang siguro ako.”

JM De Guzman

Khalil Ramos

“We do have a Holy Week break. I really want to go to the beach. It’s been a long time since I’ve been to the beach. So hopefully, we get to spend it in the beach. Wala pang plans na specific but I want to do that.”

Mercedes Cabral

“So far ang plan is pupunta ako sa, ang alam ko pa sa ngayon, I’m going to go to the province of my mom, which is in Bicol. So I’m gonna spend it there with my family. So yun lang. Pahinga, reflect, and make sure na hindi ako kontrabida in real life.”

Aiyana Perlas

“I think the plan is just to really rest. It’s the time to rest with my family and go back to the basics with my family, spending time with them and connecting with them because I’ve been so busy. I haven’t had the time to spend time with them.”

Nico Antonio

“Every Holy Week, me and my family would just stay in Manila and do our religious obligations as a family.”

Althea (girl group G22)

“Very traditional yung family namin so nasa bahay kami. We will fast and lagi kami everyday nag-ro-rosary with my family. Hindi kami normally lumalabas pag Holy Week. Yun yung tradition ng family ko.”

AJ (girl group G22)

“We usually do church hopping, yung bisita iglesia. And time with the family lang, sa isang beach for the little kids, ganyan. Kasi yun lang yung time na makapag bakasyon kami ng complete. Yun lang yung alam naming time na may bakasyon kami, pag Holy Week.”
