The so-called "tingi" era of popular K-pop boy group EXO continues as member Doh Kyung-soo, also known through the stage name D.O, is set to return to the Philippines in August for a solo concert.

The show is part of Kyung-soo's "Do It!" Asia concert tour, which announced Friday its nine initial stops through a poster on the X account of management Company SooSoo.

The Manila stop is scheduled on August 16, though further details such as the exact venue and ticketing prices were not immediately available.

The tour will commence in Seoul in July before heading to other cities across the region, including Taipei, Jakarta, Singapore, Malaysia, Macau, Bangkok and Tokyo.

The event marks the 32-year-old singer-actor's return to the Philippines in a year, following his packed two-day "Bloom" fan concert at the Araneta Coliseum in August and September 2024.

Kyung-soo debuted in 2012 as a vocalist in EXO, the group behind hit songs such as "Growl," "Ko Ko Bop" and "Love Shot." In 2021, he launched a solo music career with the release of the extended play "Empathy."

Outside of music, Kyung-soo is also widely known as an actor, taking lead roles in dramas such as "100 Days My Prince" and "Bad Prosecturo," as well as films like "The Moon" and "Secret: Untold Melody."

In recent years, the EXO members have been focusing on solo tours, with Filipino fans dubbing their individual visits as the group's "tingi" era, a nod to the local practice of buying goods in small quantities

Member Xiumin is also set to hold a concert at the New Frontier Theater in May while Kai will stage his own show at the Araneta Coliseum in July.
