Taeyeon is bringing her highly anticipated solo concert The TENSE to Manila this Saturday, March 29.

Ahead of the Philippine leg of the concert, the Girls’ Generation member opened up about the inspiration behind the concert title in a vlog uploaded on her official YouTube channel.

"In terms of meaning [of] The TENSE, I think this would be more meaningful as its the 10th anniversary too. Feels it'd be more symbolic too. And if we have this as concept too, it's a bit of a wide spectrum of a concept," she said.

The K-Pop star also discussed how the theme will shape the concert’s structure and storytelling.

"But [I] think there will be lots to fill it up with though. There's a lot to work on. It can be like showing the things we've been working on as a flow and we can also show what direction we're heading, moving forward," she said.

Presented by PULP Live World, The TENSE will be happening at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday.

The K-Pop star will then be headlining the concert in Jakarta and Macau in April, Singapore and Bangkok in May, and Hong Kong in June.

Taeyeon last performed in Manila in July 2023 with her The Odd of Love concert at the Araneta Coliseum.

The singer first rose to fame in 2007 as a member of Girls’ Generation, one of South Korea’s most iconic girl groups, known for chart-topping tracks like "Into the New World," "Gee," and "Genie."
