The Philippine Hairdressers Association (PHILHAIR), led by its president Ricky Reyes, officially launched Health-Beauty Caravan 2025 in collaboration with SM Supermalls, the Philippine Red Cross, the Philippine Cancer Society, and the Metro Manila Mayors' Spouses Foundation on Tuesday, February 4.

The grand launch took place at the Fashion Hall of SM Megamall, marking the start of a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting health and beauty across the country.

The Philippine Red Cross and the Philippine Cancer Society will spearhead the health-focused initiatives, while the Metro Manila Mayors' Spouses Foundation will support beauty-related activities.

Also, Well-Hair and Bioreach, two renowned beauty companies, have been named as the official beauty partners of the event, ensuring that participants have access to the best tools and resources in the industry.

The caravan will feature a series of health and beauty events, including seminars on the latest beauty products and competitions in various categories.

Beauty practitioners from Baguio, Lucena, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, and NCR will participate, enhancing their skills and knowledge through expert-led sessions.

Reyes reiterated how he wanted others to shine through this initiative. "'Yung isang ordinaryong hairdresser, 'pag lumaban siya at nanalo siya, 'yong gupit niyang limang piso magiging singkwenta pesos. You give credit to the people and give them the chance to shine."

"I feel that I am not young anymore. And I think there should be young people again who should do the things I do. I think it's time for other people to shine."

Reyes went on to address the young generations of beauty makers in the country.

"Ay mga anak, mga kabaran-GAY, mga kapamilya ko sa pagpa-parlor, sa pagsa-salon, it's our time. Let's make other people very, very beautiful because this is the most beautiful job in the world. You make people beautiful. And when you make them beautiful, they will feel beautiful. And when they feel beautiful, they will do beautiful things to other people also," he said.

The launch was attended by prominent figures, including Gwen Pang, secretary general of the Philippine Red Cross; Romy Marcaida of the Philippine Cancer Society; Grace Magno of SM Supermalls; and Keri Zamora, president of the Metro Manila Mayors' Spouses Foundation.

Also present were treasurer Tiffany Gatchalian and former Mandaluyong mayor Menchie Abalos, along with PHILHAIR leaders from various regions.

The Health-Beauty Caravan 2025 is set to bring valuable opportunities for beauty practitioners and the public, merging health awareness with the latest trends in beauty and wellness.
