The Pokémon Fun Day was officially launched on January 31, 2025 at the SM North Edsa 

MANILA, Philippines – Heads up, Trainers!

The Pokémon Fun Day kicked off Friday afternoon at the SM North Edsa, bringing the global media franchise's beloved pocket monsters into real-life experience.

The first leg takes place at the said Quezon City mall starting today until February 13, where a dedicated space for Pokémon is set, including a six-meter tall Pikachu, where children and adults could take pictures with.

As advertised, there will be tutorial sessions for the Trading Card Game, and licensed Pokémon merchandise will be up for grabs.

The event will on go for a tour around the country across SM branches in Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Iloilo, and Davao until October this year.

The launch was attended by The Pokémon Company Asia Business Development Corporate Officer Susumu Fukunaga, SM Supermalls Group Head Executive Vice President Joaquin San Agustin, Animation International Philippines Director Tsutomu Kondo, and RUNRIO Inc. President and CEO Coach Rio Dela Cruz.

The media launch also served as a promotional event for the first-ever Pokémon Run, which is set next Sunday, February 9, at the SM Mall of Asia Complex.

Unfortunately for interested runners, all 10,000 slots from the said marathon have already been taken.
