Singaporean brand Love, Bonito is welcoming the Year of the Snake with a new collection that blends timeless elegance with contemporary design sensibility.

Its Lunar New Year collection features traditional details like the mandarin collar, ribbon ties, and oriental buttons adorned on contemporary silhouettes that are built on comfort. 

Priced from P1,490 to P3,990, the newly released pieces are available online on the Love, Bonito website as well as its physical stores at Greenbelt 3 and Power Plant Mall.

Customers can also look forward to additional surprises such as prosperity red packets, a crescent handbag, and upcycled elastic scrunchies, which can be availed with minimum single receipt purchases of P4,800, P8,800, and P5,800, respectively. 

COS

HandoutLondon-based fashion brand COS has released limited-edition bags, bag charms, and ready-to-wear pieces highlighting new energy and good fortune, just in time for the Year of the Snake. 

The bag charms merge modern design with traditional knots, and can be mixed and matched with the mini bags which come in leather and suede. 

The ready-to-wear pieces, meanwhile, embrace spring's vibrant and lively hues and are inspired by elements found in nature. 

Alongside the collection, COS has collaborated with Chinese artist Amber Chen to showcase pieces from her work, "The Unwrapped-Wrapper." Her intricate hand-woven jacquards, inspired by traditional techniques, evoke the beauty and complexity of family ties. 

The new items are available online and at the COS store at SM Aura Premier mall in Taguig.

Din Tai Fung

Taiwanese chain Din Tai Fung (DTF) will serve a month-long Chinese New Year menu starting January 29 to mark the Year of the Snake.

One of its limited-edition Flavors of Asia offerings, the Wagyu Mala Xiaolongbao, will make a comeback as part of the menu. These can be ordered as 3-piece or 5-piece baskets.

Diners can also enjoy dishes such as Oyster Misua Soup, Fried Pumpkin in Salted Egg, Salt and Pepper Lobster, Spareribs in Chili Garlic, and Almond Pudding with Red Bean. 

DTF's Chinese New Year menu will be available in all of its branches: Alabang Town Center, SM Megamall, Bonifacio High Street Central, Uptown BGC, Power Plant Mall, Greenbelt 3, SM Mall of Asia, and SM North EDSA.

Dylan Patisserie

French-themed cafe Dylan Patisserie has unveiled its limited-edition Chinese New Year Lucky Spring Cake as it prepares to celebrate the Year of the Snake.

It features layers of rich dark chocolate mousse, almond sponge, and dark chocolate sponge with feuilletine crunch, and is sprayed with red chocolat to symbolize good fortune and luck. 

The Lucky Spring Cake is available in all Dylan Patisserie and Dylan Gourmet Cafe locations. It can also be ordered online via the brand's website and through food delivery platforms. Also available are festival muffins, cupcakes, and macarons.

Lanson Place Mall of Asia

Lanson Place Mall of Asia is holding the Lunar Prosperity Retreat from January 28 to February 4, where guests can take part in time-honored traditions and enjoy refined modern comforts. 

The hotel's Chinese New Year celebration will feature a lion dotting ceremony at the ground floor lobby and a lion dance, as well as a lunch buffet at Cyan Modern Kitchen on January 29. Priced at P2,888 per person, it will showcase a selection of Chinese culinary delights including the prosperity toss.

Lanson Place Mall of Asia is also offering special Chinese New Year room rates starting at P8,888 nett per night, inclusive of breakfast for two and a 30% dining discount at Cyan Modern Kitchen.

Solaire Resort

Solaire Resort Entertainment City will hold a slew of events on January 29 to celebrate the Year of the Snake, such as fortune readings by feng shui master Clement Chan Ting Bong and performances by the Myanmar Long De Chuan Ren Dragon and Lion Dance Association. 

Its Chinese restaurant, Red Lantern, will offer an exclusive a la carte menu that includes items like the "yu sheng" prosperity toss, a premium dim sum collection, and signature dishes like steamed Boston lobster. 

Special menus are also available at Fresh International Buffet, House of Zhou, and Oasis Garden Cafe.

Solaire also has Lunar New Year hampers filled with treats like baked mango biscuits, tangerine peel five grains, red wine, God of Wealth-shaped tikoy, Chinese yam oatmeal, bird's nest sugar rock, and ready-to-eat black truffle abalone. Prices range from P6,888 to P88,888. 

For those who are planning to go on a staycation, there is a Sky Studio package inclusive of breakfast for two adults and two children, and P2,000 worth of food and beverage credits at the Pool Bar.

Solaire Resort North in Quezon City will also have Chinese New Year offers at Red Lantern and Fresh, on top of its lion and dragon dances and feng shui readings. 

The hotel will also have a Tree of Prosperity installation, with a roulette wheel next to it that gives guests the chance to win up to 100,000 bonus peso points. 

Discovery Boracay

Discovery Boracay's Sands restaurant is serving an opulent Chinese banquet to welcome the Year of the Snake. 

The spread includes dishes like pork and shrimp dumpling rolls, Mandarin chicken salad wonton, chives pancakes, five spice ribs with fennel and pepper, braised tongpo pork, stir-fried eggplant with tofu, yang chow fried rice, peking duck, 2-way pork lechon belly, and Chinese five-spice roast USDA ribeye, among others. 

Available on January 29, the Chinese New Year offering is priced at P2,499 per person.

The Peninsula Manila

HandoutThe Peninsula Manila is inviting guests to take part in the hotel's Chinese New Year festivities.

On January 29 at 10:15 a.m., lion and dragon dance performances will be held at The Lobby to dispel evil spirits and usher in good luck. Red lai see envelopes symbolizing fortune and prosperity will also be shared. 

This month until February 2, The Peninsula Boutique is flying in Hong Kong's much-coveted Chinese New Year Red Date with Ginger Juice Pudding, a favorite gift for family and friends. Also available is a limited-edition line of "lucky" Lunar New Year chocolate trees as auspicious presents. 

Also until February 2, guests can take part in the prosperity toss at The Lobby. The platter is good for four guests and is priced at P6,888 inclusive of taxes. 

Escolta, meanwhile, is serving 12 buffet dishes celebrating China's rich and cultural heritage until February 18. These are available for lunch and dinner, as well as Sunday brunch. 

Changan Philippines

Automobile brand Changan Philippines is offering massive discounts on all of its models starting January 27 in celebration of Chinese New Year.

Customers can buy their dream cars at a lower price, with over P100,000 in cash discounts. 

The Changan New Year Festival will also have a car display at the south wing of the new Greenhills mall in San Juan on January 29, and customers who register and play the dice game get the chance to win exclusive merchandise and a feng shui consultation.

Part of the event are Changan dealerships in Metro Manila (E. Rodriguez, Manila Bay, Alabang, and Pasig), South Luzon (Sta. Rosa, Laguna), Visayas (Iloilo, Bacolod, Cebu, Dumaguete, Tacloban, and Tagbilaran), and Mindanao (Davao, Cagayan de Oro, and General Santos).
