K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN is set to kick off the year with the highly anticipated Bulacan stop of their "Right Here" tour at the Philippine Sports Stadium on Jan. 18 and 19. This marks their return to the country a year after their "Follow" tour stop at the same venue.

Actor Hwang In-youp, who starred in dramas such as "Family By Choice" and "True Beauty," is also set to return with his "In Love" fan meeting at the New Frontier Theater on Jan. 25.

On Jan. 26, rock band N.Flying will stage the Manila leg of its "Hide-Out" concert tour at the New Frontier Theater.

February will bring more artists to the country, beginning with EXO member Baekhyun, who will hold a brand-organized fan meeting at the Mall of Asia Arena on Feb. 2.

In April, Super Junior member Kyuhyun and the Japan-focused NCT sub-unit NCT Wish will hold shows at the New Frontier Theater on April 5 and 12, respectively.

South Korea's cultural products, including music, TV series, and films, have gained immense international popularity in recent decades—a phenomenon known as "Hallyu" or the Korean wave.

The Philippines is one of the countries swept by the Korean wave, ranking fourth globally in 2022 for the most number of X (formerly Twitter) users posting about Korean content.
