Photo from Jisoo&#x27;s Instagram account"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">Jisoo.<em> Photo from Jisoo&#x27;s Instagram account</em></span></span></span></div><p>A lawyer representing Blackpink member Jisoo has denied that the K-pop megastar is involved with a family member accused of sexual assault, South Korean media reported.</p><p>The development follows reports that a man believed to be Jisoo&#x27;s brother was arrested on allegations of sexually assaulting a streamer and was also accused of domestic violence against his wife.</p><p>&quot;The matter currently being raised is entirely unrelated to the artist and BLISSOO,&quot; lawyer Eun Hyun-ho said, referring to Jisoo and <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/2024/2/21/-new-start-blackpink-s-jisoo-launches-agency-blissoo-2005"><strong>her solo activities agency</strong></a>, which he represents.</p><p>&quot;Much of the information circulating online consists of unverified speculation or clearly false claims,&quot; Eun said in a statement that was <a href="https://www.soompi.com/article/1834573wpp/blackpinks-jisoos-legal-representative-releases-statement-addressing-family-related-controversy"><strong>published in full by K-pop news website Soompi</strong></a>.</p><p>Eun noted that Jisoo &quot;began her trainee life at a young age and has lived independently for many years, apart from her family.&quot;</p><p>&quot;As such, she is not in a position to be aware of or involved in the private matters of the individual in question,&quot; he said.</p><p>The lawyer also reportedly denied claims that BLISSOO was &quot;co-founded&quot; by Jisoo and the family member under police investigation, adding that the latter is not involved in running the company.</p><p>&quot;At no point — then or now — have family members received compensation from BLISSOO or participated in any management or decision-making processes,&quot; Eun said, adding that the agency &quot;has been operated entirely independently, without any involvement from family members.&quot;</p><p>&quot;Furthermore, neither BLISSOO nor the artist has provided any financial or legal support to the individual, nor do they have any plans to do so in the future.
