<p>#PUSHTV: EXCLUSIVE: Xyriel Manabat is ready to own the big screen as a lead! From being a child actor starring in iconic teleseryes, Xyriel Manabat is now ready to captivate audiences as she headlines her first movie, &#x27;18th Rose&#x27;.</p><div><br/></div><p>In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Xyriel expressed her joy and gratitude for being entrusted the role of Rose. She also added how she fell in love instantly with Rose and her story. &quot;Si Rose, free-spirited siya. Siya &#x27;yung nagbibigay ng sunshine sa kahit saang lugar siya pumunta,&quot; she said as she gives a glimpse of her character in the movie.</p><div><br/></div><p>Xyriel recalled talking to Direk Dolly Dulu about the story of the movie long before they knew that the movie production would move forward. &quot;Nagkaroon na po kami ng kwentuhan ni Direk Dolly even before pa namin malaman na tuloy &#x27;yung movie, parang months or I think a year before gawin yung movie.&quot; </p><div><br/></div><p>She shared that she was both overwhelmed and grateful when the production pushed through and when she was asked to headline the movie. &quot;Hinintay nila ako pag [pasok] ko ng PBB, kasi dapat gagawin siya [yung movie] before pumasok ng PBB, pero hindi umabot&quot; Xyriel recalled. &quot;Thank you so much po sa pag hintay at pag sugal.&quot;</p><div><br/></div><p>Xyriel shared how she took time to get to know her character, saying that she only relies on her own experiences as a last resort. &quot;Sa sobrang ganda ng story at buhay niya, gusto ko lang bigyan ng hustisya yung buhay niya to the point na kinalimutan ko si Xyriel. Buong movie ‘yung buhay lang ni Rose ang makikita niyo. Hindi ko kinailangan dumating sa point na uungkatin ko yung personal na buhay ko para mabigyang hustisya yung scenes ni Rose.&quot;</p><div><br/></div><p>In ‘18th Rose’, Xyriel will be teamed up with Kyle Echarri where they will portray the story of two teenagers who form a bond through music while they chase their dreams.</p><div><br/></div><p>&#x27;18th Rose&#x27; is set to premiere on Netflix on April 9, 2026.</p><div> </div>
