Lottie Bie embraces ‘mom bod’ and speaks up over comments comparing postpartum bodies

<p>Content creator Lottie Bie used her platform to address postpartum body comparisons after receiving remarks that she “does not look like she gave birth at all,” prompting her to share what she described as her real “mom bod.”  </p><p>In a social media post on January 8, Lottie posted a video showing her post-pregnancy tummy, marked by darkened skin and stretch marks — both of which are normal effects of pregnancy and childbirth. </p><p>In the video, Lottie explained her intent in sharing how she really looks, underscoring that her post was meant to counter unrealistic expectations often placed on mothers after giving birth.  </p><p>“I don’t want to set any unrealistic expectations. This is my mom bod. I earned this.” </p><p>“Right now, my body doesn&#x27;t look ‘pretty’ but ‘pretty’ wasn’t what my baby needed. From dads comparing my body to their wives. ’Parang di ka nanganak, nung ako...’, ’yung wife ko mukhang... nung nanganak.‘</p><p>And compliments they may seem like, but it&#x27;s because you haven&#x27;t seen my body yet. She went on to describe the physical realities she continues to experience postpartum. Framing motherhood as a source of pride rather than loss, she concluded her message with words that resonated widely with fellow mothers. </p><p>“My stomach is dark, expanded, it still hurts. I still bleed. I really needed this. this is so vulnerable. Along with the announcement, she also opened about her health journey, sharing that she had been battling multiple medical conditions, including stage 3 endometriosis, adenomyosis, anxiety, chronic pain, and having only one remaining fallopian tube. </p><p>Known for her large following on TikTok, where she rose to viral fame through her “Multiverse alternate reality problems” series, Lottie has since begun sharing more about her life as a first-time mother.  </p><p>Following her childbirth, she launched an Instagram broadcast channel where she said she plans to share anecdotes, advice, and updates about motherhood with fellow moms and aspiring parents.</p>
