Ninong Ry laments longtime corruption in flood control projects:  ‘Hindi deserve ng Pilipino ‘to’

<p>Last July, the country was hit by heavy rains, and among those who went online about being severely affected was well-loved food vlogger Ninong Ry. The Malabon-based content creator shared on social media photos of the kitchen and living room area of his home which had been submerged in floodwaters.Since then, he has posted about plans to relocate his studio. During the Trillion Peso March event, Ninong Ry shared a lengthy post expressing his personal take on the seemingly never-ending flooding problem in the country. </p><p>In his Facebook post last Sunday, September 21, he wrote, “Buong buhay ko, binabaha na kami. Mahirap, pero naging parte na ng buhay namin. Akala ko parte lang talaga ng buhay. Natutunan naming tanggapin. Natutunan naming mag adapt. Natutunan naming lunukin na lang ang sama ng loob kasi wala, ganun talaga eh.“</p><p>“Pero ganun nga ba talaga? Dapat ba ganto kahirap? Dapat ba ganto kasalimuot? Tumanda akong matibay dahil dito. Hindi lang ako. Pati ang milyong milyong mga Pilipino. Na para bang sanay na sanay na kame. Na para bang ok lang. Ang totoo, hinde. Naiiyak ako sa napakaraming pagkakataon na kinailangan ko ulit na magsimula. Bili ng bagong gamit. Pagawa ng motor. Mga family album na inanod. Malaki ang perang nawawala tuwing baha pero pucha, hindi lahat nabibili ng pera.” </p><p>He continued: “Nung kakapanganak lang ng misis ko, binaha kame ng matinde. Ako bilang sanay na, pinapakalma ko siya pero ang totoo. Nababaliw na din ako. Alam kong hindi na dapat namin dinaranas to. Sabi nya sakin di siya pwedeng lumusong kasi sariwa pa hiwa ng CS nya. Patawa kong sinabi na bubuhatin ko na lang siya at yung mga bata e isasakay ko sa batya. After nun bumalik ako sa pagbabantay sa baha na kala mo bang may magagawa ako habang pinapanood kong inaanod ang mga kaunting naipundar ko kasabay ng mga pictures, awards, at kung ano ano pang bagay na di na maibabalik pa.  Isa, dalawang beses, baka ok lang e. Minsan delubyo talaga. Pero yung ganto? Yung paulit ulit na? Ang sakit sa loob ko. Ang sakit sa loob natin. Bilang mga taong nagbabayad ng buwis, para tayong iniputan sa ulo. Uulitin ko. Hindi natin deserve to. Tas manonood ka ng hearing. Pinipilit mong maging updated sa mga bagay bagay. Bakit? Siguro para may mapaglagyan lang ang sama ng loob natin tapos mapapatanong ka. Bakit ang komplikado? Bakit ang gulo? Bakit daig pa nito ang game of thrones? Bakit? Masakit e. Pinepresenta ko lang sa manner na nakakatawa para mas makita ng tao. Para mas kumalat. At hopefully, isa sa mga taong may kapangyarihan at may kontrol ang makakita at magsabing, sige, ayusin natin yan. Kaso wala eh. </p><p>Dati pag sumisimoy ng malamig ang hangin e nakakatuwa. Malamig e. Ngayon, nerbyos na ang katambal nyan. Mauubos na naman ba ako? Naitaas na ba ang mga gamit na kayang itaas? E yung ref? Bibili na naman ba ako? Yung mga album? Ah wala, ubos na nga pala nung nakaraang baha. </p><p>Hindi deserve ng Pilipino to. Hindi natin deserve na paulit ulit anurin. Hindi. Pinagdadasal ko na sana kung sino man ang mga taong nasa likod nito e magbayad. Kaso putek nagawa na yung mga projects e. Pag inayos kailangan ulit ng budget. San kukunin ang budget?? Satin pa din. </p><p>Galit na may katambal na lungkot ang nararamdaman ko. Walang mapaglagyan. Hindi ako makatulog. Sila kaya, nakakatulog pa?</p><p>Tama na to. Hindi natin deserve to. Ayusin nyo to. Hindi namin deserve to.”</p>
