<p>The local entertainment industry was saddened to lose veteran columnist and former talk show host Lolit Solis last July 3, Thursday, due to a heart attack. Up until the day before she unexpectedly departed this earth, Lolit had been sharing her sentiments with her followers on social media. Out of the blue tinamaan ako ng sakit affecting my kidney…. Talagang kahit ano pa sabihin pag dumating mga ganyan medyo windang ka. To be fair, painless at wala naman akong nararamdaman sakit sa katawan, nanghihina lang ako at kung minsan may mental lapses dahil ang dali kong makalimot. May mga moments na sad na sad ako na ewan ko kung dahil sa dialysis ko. May moments na tinatanong ko kung bakit andito pa ako. Ayoko encourage ang down feeling ko. Kaya lang kung minsan talagang malakas ang tama niya. Baka dahil sa edad ko kaya ganito ang emosyon ko. I hate feeling this way dahil affected ako at ayoko naman mag self pity at this age.</p><p>&quot;Siguro dahil wala dito mga anak ko, kasama ko lang sila Mel at Celia kaya iba ang aura sa paligid ko…. Prayers do wonders alam ko na kahit ano pa pinagdaraanan ko emotionally malalagpasan ko dahil tutulungan ako ng Langit. Sobra na nga mga blessings ko. Talagang hindi ko akalain at my age dun pa ako mako confined at magkakasakit. Nagkaruon nga tuloy ako ng anxiety attack dahil hindi ko akalain na at my age mahihiga ako sa hospital bed. Tuwang tuwa ako talaga ng dumaan ang grupo nila Jun Lalin, Ian Farinas, Gie Trillana, Anna Pingol, Randolf at Salve para tignan ang kalagayan ko. So grateful for my friends na talagang tinignan ang kalagayan ko.</p><p>&quot;Medyo hindi ako talaga sanay sa hospital scenario kaya culture shock para sa akin ang mga nangyayari. Everytime I wake up in the morning shock ako na nasa ibang kuwarto ako. Kaya nga minsan gulat ako paggising. Kaya tuloy parang at a [loss] ako tuwing gigising. Pag umaga parang hinahanap ko iyon magulong kuwarto ko. Ewan ko ba basta I feel everything happening is new to me. Kaloka dahil talagang nagtataka ako na now ako nagkaganito. Lolit wrote her last caption with a very optimistic view until the very end,</p><p>“Buti na lang at ang babait ng mga doctors ko, Dr Florante Munoz, Dra Linga, Dr Mora at Dra Nema Evangelista. Talagang inalagaan nila ako at hindi iniwan. Ang hirap pala ng maysakit. Hopeless, helpless, weak ka. Para bang hindi mo alam where and what to do. I feel it was already late for me para magkaruon ng ganitong episode sa buhay. Pero alam mo naman si GOD alam niya when or where ibibigay sa iyo ang mga bagay. So grateful na ngayon older na ako nangyari ito. Meron na ako ng pasensiya at wisdom na tanggapin mga bagay.</p><p>&quot;I feel sad, weak, but hopeful. Wishing na sana gumaling ako agad at maging active uli. I love life. I love my works. I love my friends.I live life like everybody else. But if being sick is a sacrifice I have to experience it was an eye opener for me. Like going thru the medical procedures, mga ginagawa sa iyo sa hospital, lahat new sa akin.</p><p>&quot;Pero in all gratitude SALAMAT sa staffs ng FEU Hospital dahil napaka caring nila. Talagang spoiled patient ang feeling ko. Hindi ako nagsisi na nagpa alaga sa FEU Hospital. I feel very special dahil sa alaga ng staffs lalo na ng mga doctors. Kaya nga tiyak ako na gagaling agad ako. Para lang ako nagbakasyon, sleep over ng ilang araw. Pero ganuon pala ang feeling ng nasa hospital. Minsan nga gusto ko umiyak dahil sa self pity. Kasi nga usually pag natulog ako I feel so weak na hindi ko na alam kung saan ako dadalhin ng tulog ko. I am very thankful pero admitted ko na medyo pagod na ako. I have so many things to be thankful for, parang para sa akin tama na ang journey ko sa buhay. Been there, done that, I feel complete and grateful to my GOD. So if I will leave now, no regrets. Life was good to me, people are nice, things worked mostly in my favors, what more can I asked ? Basta Thank You to all, my apologies to some, and if ever just remember me with fondness, I love all of you, and Thank You my GOD😇”</p>
