Pop star Charli XCX has tied the knot with George Daniel, drummer of the British band The 1975.

According to PEOPLE, the couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony held in London on Saturday, July 19, surrounded by close friends and family.

Charli and George announced their engagement in November 2023.

The pair first met in 2021 while collaborating on the single "Spinning," a track featuring Charli XCX, The 1975, and Filipino artist No Rome.

In a 2024 interview on The Howard Stern Show, Charli opened up about their relationship and shared details about their wedding preparations, expressing excitement for their next chapter together.

"We’re kinda, like, planning it slowly, We’re both very chill, and we want to just have a party, it’s our vibe," she relayed. "Neither of us are particularly formal about marriage, I guess, or care about the formalities of the ceremony or whatever. We just want to be together forever and have a party with our friends."

Charli released her critically acclaimed album Brat in June 2024, which she co-produced alongside George Daniel and other collaborators.

In February, she took home her first-ever Grammy awards, winning Best Dance Pop Recording for "Von Dutch" and Best Dance/Electronic Album for Brat.

Despite the album's success, Charli shared in a May interview with Culted that she doesn’t feel pressured to replicate its impact for her next project.

"I don’t really feel the pressure to create another record like Brat because when I was making it, even though I really believed in it and totally knew what I wanted to do with it, I had no idea how it would be received," she pointed out.

The singer added: "I was really doing it for myself and marketing it in the way I wanted to for myself, but I had no clue that people would kind of connect to it in the way that they did."
