Kapuso actress Charlie Fleming shared how surprised she was after seeing some netizens compare her to Kapamilya star Fyang Smith. During an interview with Boy Abunda earlier this week, the former Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition housemate admitted how scared she was being compared to her fellow PBB alum.

Charlie maintained that she doesn’t want to talk about it as she has no control of what people think and say about them.

“I’ve seen a lot about it, obviously… Actually, nagugulat talaga ako. Natatakot talaga ako because I don’t really wanna be compared to other artists especially in a derogatory way. Yung pag wisdom and being mature, it comes from experience–– it comes from understanding,” she shared.

“Hindi talaga siya sinasadya. I’ve totally no control and I haven’t spoken up about it because it’s definitely not something that I want to put myself in din,” she added.

The Kapuso star then shared how she has only met Fyang in passing and hasn’t had contact with her since then.

“We’ve met once only, I said hello. I introduced myself but we don’t actually follow each other, we’re not friends or anything. Hindi din po, not yet,” she revealed.

When asked to make a reaction about Fyang’s viral quote comparing their PBB seasons, both Charlie and her duo partner Esnyr Ranollo were quick to answer how different their batch is from theirs and the other batches that have gone before them.

“Hindi naman 'to competition. Feeling ko yung iba’t-ibang season, may iba’t-ibang taste talaga. Sa amin, we can say na unique talaga yung season namin at tinangkilik talaga ng mga tao… Iba-iba kami ng amats kumbaga. I love their season too,” Esnyr shared.

“Our seasons are different–– this is the first GMA and ABS-CBN Collab–– so this is completely different from what batch they have,” Charlie added.

Charlie then shared how she also makes sure to give respect to the big stars and make sure she gets to know them. She, however, admitted that she still has much to learn when it comes to the showbiz industry since she is only 16 years old.

“I don’t know all of the veterans that we do have but I really do try to get to know them din po. Even through the shows we have in GMA, minsan they are there and the last show I did, Widows’ War, was filled with veterans–– wonderful veterans. I can say that I’ve learned so much from them,” she expressed.

Meanwhile, Charlie and Esnyr are set to reunite with their fellow PBB housemates for The Big ColLove this coming August 10 at the Araneta Coliseum.
