TWICE's Jihyo marks 20th year at agency with star-studded event

Several K-pop stars came together to celebrate TWICE member Jihyo, who marked her 20th anniversary with her agency, JYP Entertainment.

Snippets from the celebration were released late Wednesday in a teaser video on TWICE's YouTube channel, with the full video set to premiere on July 15.

The artists who joined the 28-year-old idol for her party include her bandmates Nayeon and Jeongyeon, SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan and Mingyu, DAY6's Sungjin, GOT7's BamBam, and former Gugudan members Kim Sejeong and Kim Nayoung.

The clip shows Jihyo's friends congratulating her on two decades with JYP Entertainment, alongside moments of the hanbok-clad singer getting emotional during the event.

JYP Entertainment is one of the leading companies in the K-pop industry, known for launching successful acts such as Wonder Girls, 2PM, Miss A, Stray Kids and ITZY.

Prior to her 2015 debut with TWICE, where she serves as the group's leader and main vocalist, the singer born Park Ji-hyo was known for her long trainee period of 10 years.

Outside of the group, Jihyo has also launched a solo music career, debuting with the extended play "Zone" and its lead single "Killin' Me Good" in 2023.

Meanwhile, TWICE is gearing up for their comeback on July 11 with their fourth album, "This Is For," alongside a new world tour that includes a stop in the Philippines in October.

In addition to the group's comeback, Jihyo, along with fellow TWICE members Jeongyeon and Chaeyoung, lent their voices to the soundtrack of the animated film "Kpop Demon Hunters," recording the track "Takedown." The soundtrack climbed to No. 3 on the latest Billboard 200 chart, making it the highest-charting soundtrack of 2025.
