Known as a big animal lover with various pets at home growing up, it was only natural to assume that singer and actor Ice Seguerra learned how to have a big heart for animals from her parents, especially her mommy Caring, who unexpectedly passed away last June 27. In a Facebook post last June 30, Ice’s wife Liza Diño shared how Ice brought mommy Caring’s furbaby Pido to see her one last time during the last night of the wake.

In her post, Liza wrote, “Meet PIDO, ang tunay na paboritong anak ni mommy Caring

The day she passed, he waited by the door.

Hindi kumain. He was waiting  for mommy Caring to come home. So we brought him to the wake yesterday so he could see her one last time so he can say goodbye to his fur mommy, too.”

In a subsequent post, Liza also shared the details for the last night of mommy Caring’s wake which included a mass, eulogies, and ballroom dancing. “Let’s send Mommy Caring off with love, flair, and a whole lot of dancing — because you know she wouldn’t want it any other way,” Liza wrote.

In another post, Liza shared photos of some of their visitors which included some of their closest friends inside and outside the industry like Vic Sotto, TIto Sotto, Pauleen Luna, Jose Manalo, Lani Mercado, ABS-CBN boss Cory Vidanes, and Jonathan Manalo.

“Since last Saturday, this room has been filled with so much love, laughter, stories, and memories about her. It’s incredibly humbling to witness the life she lived through the hearts of those she touched. Thank you to everyone who visited, sent flowers, mass cards, messages, and prayers. Your presence and support have meant so much to our family. As we send her off tonight, may we continue to celebrate the full, beautiful life she lived. Share your stories, your songs, your eulogies. And yes—let’s dance for her,” Liza wrote.
