Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 housemates Rain Celmar and Kolette Madelo opened up about their heartfelt moments with their dads in celebration of Father’s Day.

In an exclusive interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, Rain Celmar shared that her family will be joining her in Manila not only in celebration of Father’s Day but also for her upcoming album launch.

“We always eat out kapag Father’s Day. Usually, ang bonding namin ni Dad is really driving,” Rain said.

The “Cheerful-Langga ng Cebu” shared fond memories of how her dad introduced her to cars and taught her practical skills.

“He taught me how to drive. He taught me how to wash cars, I know how to change oil sa car. Maraming things about cars. Mga ganoon po about engineering stuff, marami akong natutunan,” Rain said.

Now based in Manila to pursue her career as an artist, Rain said she plans to treat her dad to a relaxing getaway.

“I want to bring my Dad and myself to Pampanga, mga very nature-y places po,” she said.

During her Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11 stint, Rain opened up about the emotional challenge of being apart from her father, who works away from home.

“Kahit na po 17 years old na po ako, we can say na sanay na ako (but) my heart still feels heavy po every time my Dad leaves. It never gets easier po,” Rain told Kuya.

“Mahal na mahal ko po Papa ko, Kuya. I’m not where I am po without my Dad and my Mom. I can really feel po talaga my Dad’s love  po Kuya, that’s why I really love him so much,” she added. “Bata pa po si Papa, he’s been working na po talaga. I want to give him time to relax.”

Meanwhile, fellow housemate Kolette Madelo also paid tribute to her father, Ronald Madelo, expressing deep gratitude and admiration.

“Siyempre, if I can give my father an award, siyempre, kung may pwede lang gawan ng medal, ‘yung ‘Best Papa in the World’. ’Yun ang ibibigay ko,” she said.

Kolette shared an example of her dad’s brand of parenting.

“Siguro ano, fun ‘to, fun fact. Sabi niya, noong nag-absent ako, ‘Sige, wag ka na mag-aral ha.‘ So ‘yun, nag-aral ako. Nakatapos ako mag-aral kasi takot ako sa kanya,” she recalled.

Kolette was raised by her adoptive parents, Ronald Madelo and Nanette Oca, who are siblings. They took her in when she was just four months old, after her biological mother had to give her up due to poverty.

In a touching PBB episode back when she was still a housemate, Kolette was able to have time with her father. In that brief moment, she expressed her gratitude to her parents for giving her a family.

“Kayo nagpa-feel, kayo nagpakita sa akin ng true love sa isang family na hinahanap ko,” the “Ma-cute-lit na Raketera” said, thanking her parents for the love and care they give her.

“Gusto ko lang mag-thank you kasi binigyan niyo ako ng pagmamahal na super super gora-gorabels at itong lahat na ginagawa ko para rin sa inyo kasi gusto ko makabawi, kasi syempre gusto ko maparanas sa inyo ang (magandang) buhay,” she added. “Thankful ako kasi nagsuporta kayo sa akin. Proud din ako na kayo ang naging parents ko.”
